Rooted in Tradition
Stephanie Rostamie never planned to become a chutney maker. Inspired by summers in her grandparents' gardens in the Middle East — where life revolved around family, fresh food, and community — she wanted to recreate that simplicity in Virginia's Northern Neck.
The idea sparked at a housewarming party, where her Afghan-style green chutney stole the show. Her children suggested they make and sell it together — as part of their homeschooling curriculum and as a true family business. FeedME Chutney was born.
Today, Stephanie and her six children (ages 2–14) craft over 100 jars a week using locally sourced, farm-fresh ingredients. Every jar is made to order — because freshness is never negotiable.
